Wake Cross Agency: Opioids in North Carolina is proudly presented to you by CEQ Alliance Behavioral Healthcare Academy. Thank you. We hope that you enjoy your course.
Wake System of Care invites you to attend the next Cross Agency Orientation on Friday, September 8 that will address: Community Partnerships with Law Enforcement and Addressing the Opioid Issues in NC.
September is National Recovery Month and National Pain Awareness Month and representatives from four North Carolina localities will discuss partnerships between law enforcement, local hospitals, and the community, in order to reduce arrests and increase opioid treatment opportunities.
Participants will hear about the LEAD program in Cumberland County, the Hope Squad in Raleigh, as well as learn about how law enforcement in Person and Nash counties work with hospitals and agencies to access treatment. Please join us for an afternoon of information and an opportunity to ask questions.
Recent changes in laws will be presented around Naloxone, reporting an overdose, and syringe exchange. Through education and a collaborative approach, the community can learn about how to advocate for those with substance use disorders in order to address the epidemic and act to save lives.
Please register and join us for an opportunity to learn about different programs and partnerships in NC.
