This training will look beyond the philosophy of person-centered care and identify next steps in achieving it. Participants will learn the value of person-centered care and how to facilitate the philosophy throughout an organization. Another key element that participants will be able to incorporate is the inclusion but not catering to family members in terms of goals and services. Participants will also explore the idea of empowerment to individuals living with brain injury to "own their rehabilitation" replacing the traditional "helpless" narrative facilitated by society that often accompanies individuals with disabilities.
